How do I view the course catalog?
You can access the course catalog by selecting your state on the map of the United States. A box will immediately appear for you to select your license type. Once you have selected your license type, you will be directed to the course catalog, where you can begin selecting courses.

Once a course has been added to your cart, a yellow box will appear at the top of the course catalog that lists the number of courses and total CE hours added, and a checkout link. Click the checkout link to process your order.

How do I redeem a promotion number?
Promotion numbers may be redeemed online or by phone. To redeem online, enter your promotion number in the "Additional Discounts" box provided at checkout. To redeem by phone, please call our support representatives at 1-877-488-9308.

How do I set up a User ID and a Password?
Once you have made your course selections from the Course Catalog page, select ‘Checkout’. You will then be prompted to create a new user ID and password, and provide information for your personal profile. If the desired user ID is taken, you will be asked to select something else for your account. If you need assistance, please call 1-877-488-9308.

What personal information does WebCE store about me?
For the purposes of creating certificates of completion and reporting your CE credits to your state department of insurance, WebCE must have your full name, address, daytime phone number, and license number. Some states also require the use of your Social Security Number for reporting credits. A credit card will be required to process your order online; however, WebCE DOES NOT store credit card information and the card information is entered on a secure and encrypted page. The ‘State Requirements’ page includes information on your state regulations, such as subject requirements, course repetition, carryover, and more. Courses approved for special state requirements are specifically noted in red next to each course title (i.e. Ethics, Law, Annuities, LTC, etc.).

What course delivery options are available?
In most states, WebCE courses are available in both Online and Paper formats. In addition, Interactive Classroom Equivalent courses are available in Texas and New Jersey and are only available online.

How do I find the price for WebCE courses?
You will find pricing information on your state’s multi-course bundle under the “Choose a Course” box within the Course Catalog. Individual course prices, before discounts and bundle package pricing, will be noted in green next to the course title. To qualify for the bundled discount all courses must be ordered at one time and for one agent.

What is the difference between “price before discount” and “bundled pricing”?
The “price before discount” is the individual course price to be paid if you select ONLY that single course for your order. “Bundled pricing” gives you a discounted price if you order multiple courses at one time. When you order multiple courses at the same time the bundled price discount is automatically applied at checkout. All courses must be ordered at one time and for only one agent. Prices before discount and bundled pricing do not include state filing fees or books and shipping if they apply. Some specialty courses are not subject to the bundled package discounts.

What are State Filing Fees?
State Filing Fees (sometimes called Roster Fees) are additional charges levied by states to process continuing education credits. WebCE is required by these states to collect the filing fees from you and remit them to your state. If applicable, you will see these fees added to your total invoice amount, under the “Additional Fees” section of the checkout screen.

Do my courses expire?
You have 12 months from the date of purchase to complete your courses for credit. Courses will expire after that time. Your expiration date will be listed in your online account or within the documentation that accompanies your paper-based material.

All orders are shipped UPS Ground unless Next Day is requested. Orders in Alaska can only be shipped through the post office or UPS Next Day.

No. Online course material will be accessed through the Internet by logging into your account each time. WebCE will e-mail you a reminder of your User ID and Password for online access.

Can I print my online course material?
In most states you can print the course material from your web browser or as a PDF file. Exam material cannot be printed.

Do I have to review my online course all at once?
You are able to log in and out of your online course as many times as you need to study the course material or take an open-book exam (if your state allows open book exams). WebCE suggests that you complete monitored exams in one sitting; however, if you lose your Internet connection or if your monitor needs to leave in the middle of your exam, the system will automatically save your exam answers you have recorded, and you can come back to start where you left off.

How does a classroom equivalent course work differently from online self study course?
Classroom equivalent courses are only available in TX and NJ. These courses do not have a final exam. Classroom equivalent students must read each chapter and then pass a chapter quiz before proceeding to the next chapter. In TX, Classroom Equivalent courses satisfy your in-class requirement. In NJ, the courses are approved as online-interactive, monitor-free and can be taken without a 3rd party proctor.

Can I print the course material for a classroom equivalent course?
No. Due to the requirements imposed by states that allow classroom equivalent courses, they cannot be printed and must be taken entirely online.

How do I know if my exam needs to be monitored?
Monitoring requirements vary by state. If your state requires an exam monitor, information will be listed under the “Choose a Course” box in your state’s Course Catalog. Monitor requirements can also be found in the ‘State Requirements’ page.

How does a monitor-free course work differently?
Exam delivery will vary based on your state’s specific requirements. Most monitor-free states require the exams to be “closed-book”, which means you are not allowed to review or access the material while you are answering the exam questions.

Courses taken for CE credit must be completed with a passing score of 70% or higher.

What happens if I do not pass my exam?
If you do not pass an online exam, the system will automatically give you the opportunity to retest online. If you do not pass a paper exam, WebCE will contact you and give you the option to retest online (if available) or by sending you another paper exam by regular mail. All retests will contain a different set of test questions from your original exam. WebCE offers unlimited retakes, and there is no charge for additional test attempts.

If I take a paper-based exam, what do I need to mail back to WebCE in order to have my tests graded?
Paper tests must be mailed back to WebCE for grading. Before mailing your answer sheet(s), please make sure that your answers are clearly marked, that the compliance declarations are complete, and that you and your monitor (if applicable) have signed and dated the form. Retain copies of your test questions for your records.

Do I have to complete the exam in one sitting, or can I leave the exam and come back later?
Open book exams can be paused at any time. Closed book or monitored exams can not be paused, but the system will remember the answers to the questions you have completed if you were to close the browser or lose Internet connection. If you close a monitored exam the system will ask your exam monitor to re-enter his/her password again before you can complete the remaining test questions.

How are online exams monitored?
When you open a monitored online exam for the first time, a box will appear on your screen and ask your exam monitor to enter his/her information required by your state. Once your monitor has successfully logged-in and identified herself/himself, you will then have access to the exam questions.

How long does it take to get certificates of completion?
In most states, certificates of completion immediately available online for printing. If you completed a paper-based exam, WebCE will mail your certificate within 2-3 business days. If your state does not allow online printable certificates, WebCE will mail the certificates of completion to the permanent address on file regardless of how you completed the exam.

WebCE maintains your records for up to 5 years. We can create a duplicate certificate of completion. There is no charge for this service.

Does WebCE report results in my state?
WebCE reports course completions in most states every business day where required and/or permitted to do so. For those states that do not permit next-day reporting, your courses will be reported on a different schedule or at the time the report is requested by the state. Please note that there are some states that do not require the providers to report CE course completions. For specific information for a particular state, please go to our course catalog and view the state requirements for your state, or read your certificates of completion if you have already finished your course(s).

How does WebCE use my email address?
Once you complete an order, WebCE will send you a reminder of your login information and an order confirmation for your records. From time to time WebCE or its co-brand partners may send its customers information about products or services related to their profession. Finally, WebCE may send you a reminder of your CE requirements the next time your renewal date rolls around. If you do not wish to receive these messages, you simply uncheck the “opt in” from your profile. WebCE never sells the information we receive from our customers.

How do I find out how many credit hours I need?
WebCE offers state requirements for each state. Go to the course catalog for your resident state and click on “State Requirements,” which will appear as a link in the left menu bar.

How do I find my license number and renewal date?
Your license number should be located on the information received from your state. In some states, the license number is also your social security number. If you do not have a renewal date, use your CE compliance date.
